Mission
World Moyamoya Alliance (WMA) is a medical nonprofit organization based in the United States, with the purpose of educating the population at large about moyamoya, collaborating with moyamoya specialists to decrease stroke risks and reduce deaths, funding international moyamoya research, and improving lives affected by moyamoya.

Strategic Plan & Funding Priorities

> Research : 50% of WMA funding is dedicated to worldwide research focused on effective treatments of moyamoya within research and medical communities.
​
> Education : 30% of our work is dedicated to supporting individuals living with moyamoya, caregivers, volunteers, the medical community, and organizational partnerships. Resources include online/in person events and awareness material.
> Operation Costs : 20% of WMA funding is dedicated to technology support, mailings, program supplies and others mission -focused activities.
